The Imagelink FAB Menu will open when holding the right mouse button down, whilst the pointer is over an image that is also a link. The content of the menu is the same as the Image FAB Menu and the Link FAB Menu combined. |
Load image This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to load the image marked by the Image Place Holder. This is useful if you browse with Preferences » HTML » Images » Load images set to None or Imagemaps, or if you have flushed the images from display using one of the image flushing options found under Menus » Cache » Memory cache, as it allows you to load each image as and when required. |
View image separately This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to load the displayed image, or image marked by the Image Place Holder, separately from the web page it is displayed on. The image will be loaded into the current browser in place of the current web page, which can be returned to by clicking the Back button. |
Download image... This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to save the displayed image, or image marked by the Image Place Holder, to your hard disk. The image will be downloaded in the format it is displayed in (e.g. a GIF image will be downloaded in a GIF format, a JPG image will be downloaded in a JPEG format etc.) and will be downloaded to the directory specified in Preferences » General » MIME Types » Def. save dir, or Preferences » General » Directories » Downloads, depending on your settings. |
Reload image This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to reload the displayed image, or image marked by the Image Place Holder. This is useful when an image has not properly loaded due to a network problem, or to retry loading an image that has an error to ensure it is not an intermittent problem. |
Flush image This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to flush the displayed image from memory. This is useful for flushing images on a case by case basis, rather than using one of the image flushing options found under Menus » Cache » Memory cache which will affect all images. |
The wavy line separates the Image options, from the Link options. |
View link This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to load the web page identified by the link into the current browser, i.e. it has the exact same function as simply left clicking once on the link. |
View link in new window... This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to load the web page identified by the link into a new window that it will open automatically for you. This is useful if you would like to follow the new link, whilst keeping the original web page displayed. |
View link in new browser... This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to load the web page identified by the link into a new browser that it will open automatically for you. This is useful if you would like to follow the new link, whilst keeping the original web page displayed. |
Download... This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to download the data that this link points to, to your hard disk. If the link points to another web page, then the source of the new web page will be downloaded as HTML, if the link points to an image, the image will be downloaded, or if the link points to a file, the file will be downloaded. This is useful for forcing a download if the link does not appear to work correctly, if you don't have a MIME Type configured for that particular file type (as it will avoid the Specify action for window), or to download a web page without having to open the web page first. |
Download as (MIME) » This menu entry will open a submenu listing the first 31 MIME Types listed in Preferences » General » MIME Types. Selecting one will instruct IBrowse² to download the data that this link points to, to your hard disk, as if it was the MIME Type that you specified. This is useful when web servers do not send the correct MIME Type for the data in question, as it will cause IBrowse² to handle it correctly. |
e.g. |
Some web servers are not set up for correctly for .lzx archives, and simply send the file as the text/plain MIME Type. This is the reason sometimes you will see an archive loaded into the browser and "displayed", rather than downloaded to your hard disk despite having the correct entry in Preferences » General » MIME Types. By using this menu entry, you can explicitly state the file is an application/octet-stream (which is the correct MIME Type for .lzx archives), forcing IBrowse² to use the correct settings when downloading the data. |
|
AmigaOS® has a number of limitations regarding menus, and IBrowseČ obviously suffers from those. Only 31 items are allowed in a submenu, so the first 31 entries listed in Preferences » General » MIME Types will be shown, with the remaining entries truncated from the list. A suggestion to solve this has been put forward for a future release of IBrowse. |
Add bookmark This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to add a bookmark to the data that this link points to, to the Hotlist Manager. |
|
This option currently only works with the internal Hotlist Manager, therefore always adding the bookmark there even when Preferences » General » Use Contact Manager for bookmarks is enabled. This will be addressed in the next release of IBrowse². |
Copy URL to clipboard This menu entry will instruct IBrowse² to copy the URL that the link points to into the system clipboard. This can then be pasted into the Location gadget using Menus » Edit » Paste clipboard to URL, or into any clipboard aware application using the standard AmigaOS® RAmiga+V shortcut. |
Page » This menu entry will open a submenu containing the Page FAB Menu options. |
